How we make it

YarnMellow is our own brand. We have been making yarn and cords in our workshop in Jičín, in the Czech Paradise, since 2019. It started for a simple reason: we could not find reliable yarn and cords with good colour availability, sensible lead times and fair prices. So we started making them ourselves.

Butterfly rainbow yarn balls

Our bestseller is the Butterfly rainbow yarn balls. The yarn is made of several coloured strands that change smoothly, so you get gentle colour gradients without joining.

Composition: 50% cotton, 50% acrylic, three-ply construction – finished items are light, airy and flowing.
Safety: certified for children under 3.
Three sizes: Butterfly 1500 m (approx. 270 g), Midi and Mini. Plus plain-colour Mono balls.
Great for: shawls, blankets, pram blankets, summer tops, light sweaters, dresses and accessories.
Optional glitter (lurex) thread – gold, silver or in the colour of the ball – can be added on the product page.

Berry cords and Angel macramé cords

Berry cords and Angel macramé cords (3 mm and 5 mm) are sturdy, soft to the touch and easy to work with. They suit crocheted baskets, bags, handbags, mats, poufs and decorations, as well as macramé.

Bag straps and handles

Our range also includes our own bag straps and handles to finish your handmade bags.

Handmade, and you can tell

We make everything on our own machines in Jičín. Every knot and every label passes through our hands.
Butterfly usually ships within 7 working days of the order, and within 14 days for larger quantities (over 10 pieces). The lead time is shown on each product.
You can customise colour and length with plain-colour Mono balls.
We keep adding new colours and collections so shopping with us never gets boring.
