Sporty shawl from Butterfly yarn

This pattern/chart was created by Michaela Málková, who creates under the brand Na Háček, for Tvorboshop and the Butterfly Sporty ball of yarn.

It is a triangular shawl with a simple pattern that keeps repeating. It is great for evening crocheting in front of the TV and the like.

For the shawl you will need a Butterfly ball in any length and a size 3 mm hook.

Beginners can manage this shawl too; you only need to know a few basic stitches (US terms below).

You start crocheting from the centre of the long edge.

  1. Make a magic ring and work two chains into it, then work four double crochets (dc), continue with 2 chains, 4 dc, and finish the row with a double-yarn-over (treble) stitch. Chain 2, turn your work and continue back.
  2. Alternate dc and chains following the chart. At the end of the row work a double-yarn-over stitch and 2 chains again, and turn.
  3. In this row alternate 2 dc worked together and a chain.

Then simply repeat rows 2 and 3.

You can also see the detailed procedure in the following video.

We wish you lots of success and a relaxing time crocheting.
