Stylish bag designer Tanatu tests our Loopy cord

Great original-bag designer Tanatu took our Loopy in hand to test our first cord made in the Czech Republic. And how did her "test" turn out? Read about it in the following article. ;)

I crochet bags. So far I had only used cotton twine and cord. For the first time I got my hook into cord made of 100% polyester. It is made in the Czech Republic for the company YarnMellow. So bags made from it are local, and by carrying them you support a local producer and also me as a designer. I am not a giant, not a big shop with lots of branches. I love creating and crocheting gorgeous bags and women's accessories www.tanatu.cz

I ordered LOOPY from the e-shop www.yarnmellow.cz, where the cords are sold at wholesale prices for orders over 1,000 CZK. If you do not have a company ID, you can find them at www.tvorboshop.cz
Delivery was very fast. Honestly, the longest wait was for me to choose a colour. LOOPY is offered in 100 shades. Can you imagine? I love warm yellow and they had it in five shades. How is a person supposed to choose?

In the end I got the shade Blatouch (marsh marigold), which is gorgeous. Next time it will be Kurkuma (turmeric), a slightly warmer colour. I rather ordered the colour card straight away. It is great, and thanks to it I always pick the right colour.
I started crocheting the BOHO FLEUR bag with the recommended size 7 hook. However, after a while I had to unravel it. I crochet very tightly and the bag began to twist. I switched to a bigger hook (size 8) and it was fine.

Crocheting with LOOPY grows quickly. I wrap the cord twice around my index finger. I crochet quite fast and the cord started to burn me. It was a bit unusual, but after a while I stopped noticing it and my finger got used to it. As I wrote above, it was my first experience with synthetic fibre.

When you cut the cord, the ends fray quickly, but you just need to warm them over a lighter and press them together. I also saw a lovely tutorial online on how to join them easily: hold two ends over a flame and fuse them together. You get an almost invisible join.

I think LOOPY has great potential and a wide range of uses.
It is Czech, it is lovely to create with, and those colours ♥
